We caught up with one of BridgePoint Groups latest recruits, Louise Cottee.
How long have you worked at BridgePoint Group and what is your role?
I’m a veteran of three weeks at Bridgepoint Group!
My role as Client Director is to support Neil, Mitchell and the teams to deliver outstanding service to our clients and to drive operational efficiencies with leading best in practice technologies.
What hidden skills or experience do you bring to the team?
I bring a vicious cross-court topspin forehand to the ping pong table. I know there is competition in the lunchroom but I’m yet to show my full repertoire of skills. I’ll pick my time to make my move! Watch out Daniel!
But in all seriousness, in the workplace my hidden skill is developing relationships, building rapport and connecting with people. I enjoy the personal connections with the services BridgePoint Group provides and I like making people feel at ease.
What are you reading, watching or listening to, that you would recommend to someone else?
I love reading and I would highly recommend Michelle Obama’s autobiography, ‘Becoming’. It is an interesting insight into her life from her modest early childhood growing up in Chicago through to First Lady in The White House. She is very engaging, down-to-earth and was determined to make the most of her time in The White House by inspiring young people with her story.
What is your mantra to live by?
I have two mantra’s I like to live by.
The first is to treat others the way you would like to be treated.
The second is to always have a dog in your life. Dogs love you unconditionally. Our family has just acquired a Cavoodle puppy called Ted. He brings a lot of joy to our family. It doesn’t matter what sort of day the family has had, you always have a friend wagging their tail when you walk in the door. Having a dog is very social as well and we have met a lot of families in the area walking the dog. We will always have a dog in the family!
