How long have you worked at BridgePoint Group and what is your role?
I joined BridgePoint Group in January this year as a senior accountant.
The role has evolved significantly over the last few months. Now the role involves supervising a team of four and assisting the team manager in managerial duties. When required, I get involved in complex client issues.
What have you gained from working at BridgePoint group?
Soft skills such as leadership and interpersonal skills are as important as technical skills in our profession. BridgePoint Group has invested heavily in its culture. What are you reading, watching or listening to, that you would recommend to someone else?
Daily meditation keeps my mind focused. I find it interesting to explore areas that are related to self-improvement. I like the works of Dale Carnegie. It feels great to give back to the local community in which I volunteer every Sunday. It also offers me a chance to expand my network.
What is your mantra to live by?
Don’t fear taking risks. Say ‘Yes’ to every opportunity. The least that can happen is that you have learnt something new!
